Our programme session begins in October with the Oration followed by the Annual Dinner in the presence of the Lord Mayor of York.
Oration and Annual Dinner – Saturday 1st October 2022
The year starts on the 1st October with our Annual Oration in the societies rooms, 23 Stonegate, at 2pm. This year Professor Martin Marshall, Chair of the RCGP, will be Orator. Post Covid this seems like a seminal moment for Primary Care as we struggle to cope with increasing workloads and a smaller workforce amongst other challenges. But the RCGP is all about finding solutions and inspiring us as we navigate through choppy waters. Book your ticket early!
The Annual Dinner follows in the evening in the beautiful Mansion House.
Each year since 1890, the society has held a public oration on a Friday afternoon. The list of distinguished guest speakers who have spoken at these events is provided here.
