Summer Wine Tasting – Friday 27th August 2021 at 7.30pm at 23 Stonegate, York YO1 8AW
A tutored tasting of new Summer wines
Come and join us in this hidden gem and meet new colleagues and existing York Medical Society members from both primary and secondary care.
We’re going to kick off with a glass of something chilled on arrival, giving you the opportunity to enjoy the company of other members in the gardens.
This will be followed by a tutored tasting of assorted new wines from a selection of our favourite growers to enjoy over the summer, accompanied by slides and the stories behind the wines.
We’ve got some cracking new whites, featuring rare Languedoc grape varieties that have recently delighted us with their individuality. There’s Marc Cabrol’s delightfully individual Cuvée Baptiste of Domaine des Lauriers, the stunning and very rare Carignan Blanc from Clos Bagatelle in Saint Chinian & an amazing Grenache Gris from Château Jouclary in Cabardès.
Then we’re showing some award-winning reds including the latest delicious offerings from Pascal Gianseni at Château Jouclary in Cabardès and a stunner from the dynamic Christine Deleuze at Clos Bagatelle in Saint Chinian. We’ve got Vianney Castan’s excellent new reds from Château Saint Louis la Perdrix in Costières de Nîmes, and a cracker from the new Chinese-owned and revitalised Château la Bastide in Corbières!
