Every year the York Medical Society hosts a traditional celebration of the life and work of Scotland’s own National Bard, Robert Burns.
Burns Supper – Saturday 27th January 2024
We celebrate Burns Night in the Merchant Taylors’ Hall with a combination of tradition and innovation. Previous years have welcomed world-class piper Cameron Edgar to herald the haggis, and world-class speaker David Purdie proposed the Immortal Memory with the aid of PowerPoint. The poet William McGonagall gatecrashed the event to propose a vote of thanks and legendary ceilidh band Alterego taught us Highland dancing.
The event is open to York Medical Society members and their guests
Tickets include 3 course Burns Supper, Ceilidh dancing and drinks
