All Friday evening meetings will be held in the Medical Society Rooms at 23 Stonegate at 7.30pm unless stated otherwise.
Parking is available at the Minster School for members and guests attending the evening meetings (except Thursday 8th October and Friday 27th November). Please contact the office for the car park code
Friday evening supper bookings to be made before 12 noon on the Tuesday prior to the meeting. Supper is £17 per head this includes two course meal with wines.

Tour de Yorkshire – Part Deux
There will 2 routes for this event, both leaving from Exhibition Square in York. The first route is the ‘family friendly’ to Beningbrough, nice, easy and flat. The second route is to the Wolds, and more challenging. Both will be self-guided and details are available from YMS Administrators – Sharron and Jane.
We plan to assemble in Exhibition Square around 10.00am and start promptly at 10.30am for both routes. Tea and cakes will be provided in 23 Stonegate at 3.30pm. Any contributions would be gratefully received and could be left in the rooms in the morning before setting off.

‘Nature's Social Union: Archaeology and Climate Change’ - David Fraser
David is a fascinating lecturer. He did a captivating talk last year in Poppleton on prehistory in the Ryedale area. Climate change is becoming one of the biggest challenges now and in the future. David’s talk will look at examples of radical climate change from the past and explore whether we can learn anything from history to help us in formulating policy to tackle the current crisis.

Paul Blenkiron - ‘Sex before dinner: an exploration of the minds of men and women.’
Paul is a highly entertaining speaker. He works as a consultant psychiatrist based in York
His talk will be about gender differences mainly from a psychological perspective with a bit of biology, and plenty of humour. He is a co-contributor to 'The Female Mind’ a RCPsych book (Sue Bailey got him to write a chapter).
